Happy March Dunwoody Families!

Important Announcements:

SMILE! Wednesday, March 9^th, 2016  is Individual and Class Spring Picture Day. Group class pictures must be prepaid and are $10 each. Please let me know if you’d like another envelope. Students do not have to wear uniform for picture day. All students will be photographed. Individual prints will be sent home in a few weeks for you to purchase if you choose to. If you do not choose to purchase your child’s photos. Please return them to school.

  

Dunwoody Springs families ..

We are so Lucky to have such wonderful teachers and staff at Dunwoody Springs and it's time to show them how much we appreciate them!

Teacher Appreciation Week is March 14-18 and we need your help to create another fantastic week of treats and fun for the teachers and staff. Items needed are listed below-please sign up for whatever you can.  Items should be marked PTA and can be dropped off at the front office anytime this week during school hours or by Tuesday, March 15. Please bring pershible goods on Tuesday, March 15 by 9:30am.

Milestones/ITBS Scores went home yesterday afternoon!

Student of The Month and Dolphin Achievement ceremony for December students will be held January 29th, 2016 at 8:15am in the cafeteria. 

No school January 18th (MLK Holiday)

Good Afternoon 4th Grade Families!

Just a few announcements:

We are going to start using Edmodo! It's a website that teachers will be using to send information out to parents and students such as powerpoints, homework, study guides. Be on the lookout for a permission slip going home soon. 

Winter Celebration Info TBD

Wednesday folders will be going home tomorrow with grades and important information from the school!

Parent University is December 3rd.

Good Afternoon Parents and Families!

Just a few quick announcements;

November 19th - Last Day for Book Fair, Thanksgiving Luncheon 

November 20th - No School for Students

November 23-27th - Thanksgiving Break

What are students doing in class?:

Science - Students are working on creating their own sound instruments! 

Math - Students are continuing to work on multiplication.

Social Studies - Students just took their Unit 3 test over the 13 Colonies, we'll be starting on "Causes of The Revolutionary War" when we return from break.

Language Arts - Students will be staring to learn about Ordering Adjectives when we return from break as well. 

Reading - Students are focusing on making "Inferences" from texts.

Project Based Learning - Students are researching the geography, economy and civics of their regions! Ask students to keep you updated on what they learn because they are working so hard!
